10x6H Exhibition: Co-curated with local artists Evan Kitson & Jeff Geib we are excited to share the 10x6H invitational featuring ten regional artists exploring the depth and nuance of drawing with graphite, specifically emphasizing the 6H pencil.

Inspired by Willem de Kooning’s teaching at Black Mountain College in 1948, where he had his students complete an extended exercise using a 6H pencil that he was taught in his own student years at the Academy of Fine Arts and Applied Sciences in Holland, the artists are challenged to revisit a particular moment, breakthrough, revelation, or lesson that had a significant impact on their creative development.

Live Drawing:  Jeff Geib will join curio. on Saturday and Evan Kitson on Sunday in a live drawing session held in the curio. workshop space.

Pop-Up Artists: curio. will be hosting a special pop-up featuring two local creatives setting up tables outside of the shop for both Saturday & Sunday!
